What we do with your details

Short version: we use what you send us to answer you, and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not build a profile from it, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who we are

We are Keyless Solutions Limited, a New Zealand company (company number 8630166). We collect and hold the details you send through this website. Our registered office is Unit 5, 3 Inanga Street, Hobsonville, Auckland 0618.

What this site collects

What you type into the enquiry form on the contact page: your name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever you write in the message. Every field except a way of reaching you is optional.

If you add a photo of your door, it is attached to the email we receive and nothing else. It is not stored on this website and there is no web address anyone could use to find it.

We also record which page you sent the enquiry from, because knowing you were looking at the KS300 when you wrote saves us asking. And we count visits, which is covered further down.

What happens to it

It is emailed to us so we can reply. That is the whole purpose. It is not added to a mailing list, it is not sold or passed to anyone else to use, and it is not used to advertise to you.

Two service providers handle it on our behalf on the way to us: the company that hosts this website, which runs the enquiry form, and an email delivery service that passes your enquiry to our inbox.

Counting visits

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and whether they get in touch, so we can tell what is useful and what is not. It sets two cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_484YR0GMPN, which let it recognise a returning visit. The numbers are held by Google in our own account and are reported to us as totals, not as a record of you.

We have switched off Google's advertising features, so we do not use it to show you ads or to build a profile of you. Be aware that Google Analytics still sends some of its requests through Google's advertising services, for example doubleclick.net, with advertising personalisation switched off. That is how Google runs it, and it is not something a website can fully turn off.

If you would rather not be counted, Google's own opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout stops your visits being used by Google Analytics. Blocking cookies in your browser stops it recognising a returning visit.

Fonts from Google

The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, a Google service, on every page. To fetch them your browser contacts Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so Google receives your IP address and the details any browser sends with a request, such as which browser you use. This happens whether or not you are counted by Google Analytics, and the opt-out above does not stop it. Loading the fonts sets no cookies.

What this site does not do

• No social media pixels, and no advertising tags of our own. The only Google services involved are Google Analytics and Google Fonts, both described above.
• This site sets no cookies other than the two Google Analytics ones above.
• No account to create, and no password to lose.

Your rights under the Privacy Act

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email sales@keylesssolutions.nz or call 09 238 2377 and we will do it. You do not have to give a reason.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email so we have a record of the job and can help you later. If you would rather we deleted yours, ask and we will.
